In the Spring of 1996 two bright young High School graduates concieved of a means to expand their burgeoning intellects in the absence of formal education. Assembling each week in the Room of the Great Ruth in Kenmore, Washington, they and a select group of highly intelligent individuals became the founding members of the Red Raccoon Book Club. This blog has very little to do with that event, but very much to do with me.
